From an early age, she dreamt of pursuing a career in mathematics and technology. Her academic journey began in the traditional on-campus setting. Still, her life took a dramatic turn when she suffered a spinal cord injury that left her in a wheelchair with limited upper body mobility.\u00a0<\/p><p>Despite the severity of her injury, Donia remained determined to continue her education. She transitioned to online learning and continued her computer engineering studies while undergoing daily physiotherapy. Her resilience, dedication, and structured routine became key to balancing academic challenges with medical commitments.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-335f7e7 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"335f7e7\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c184e17 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"c184e17\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Challenges in the STEM Journey<\/h4>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-46a2736 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"46a2736\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Donia faced a combination of challenges:<\/p><ul><li>Physical limitations due to her spinal injury.<\/li><li>Gender biases, with some male peers assuming leadership in technically demanding group<br \/>tasks.<\/li><li>Emotional trauma, including the recent loss of her father, her primary emotional and physical<br \/>supporter.<\/li><li>Workload and mental strain are associated with demanding coursework and long project<br \/>hours.<\/li><\/ul><p>Yet, her passion for STEM remained unshaken.
